June 2019 – True Colors

True Colors - June 1-2, 2019

Our final concert of the season is a true mix of all styles and genre.

The great Cyndi Lauper song “True Colors” gives a wonderful message of celebrating and loving everyone’s unique gifts, talents and history. We will perform a variety of songs that tell of a different journey by unique individuals. Musically this journey takes us from Queen, James Taylor and Billy Joel to Broadway, Movies, Opera and even traditional songs from China and Sweden. There will even be a few stories from our singers to go along with these.

We are also excited to have our Vancouver USA Singers Youth Scholarship winner, Easton Fiser, perform for you. Easton is a baritone studying with Laura Thoreson. He is a Senior at Parkrose High School. Easton will be performing “Neverland” by Elliot Kennedy and Gary Barlow and “The Vagabond” by Ralph Vaughan Williams.

Join us for a fun, uplifting concert of American popular and classical choral music.

Our performance of “Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman will feature tenor Ryan Allen and his daughter Zoe, seen rehearsing below.
